Programme Leader Performance (Music Teacher)

MPS/UPS plus TLR2b (£4,396 pa)

Required from January 2018 an enthusiastic, resourceful and highly motivated Music Teacher who will be our Programme Leader Performance. This is an exciting opportunity to lead Performance subjects, Music, Drama and Dance across the school.

We are looking for a Programme Leader who is an outstanding classroom practitioner and is committed to high quality teaching and learning and raising standards for all students. Temple Moor High School continues to be a “good” school (Ofsted, April 2017). We are a popular, over-subscribed school in the outer east of Leeds.

Teaching Assistants

Actual Salary Range: £11,904 – £13,529 per annum

Temple Moor High School is part of the Temple Newsam Learning Partnership Co-operative Trust, which consists of a group of schools and partners who are working together for the benefit of the community as a whole.

One of our partners is John Jamieson, East Specialist Inclusion Learning Centre. By working together as a multi-disciplinary team with students, parents/carers and Children Leeds, within our High Care Partnership at Temple Moor we offer a positive, secure and caring environment where students benefit from a high quality learning experience which embraces their individual needs.

Teaching Assistant support is required as soon as possible initially until August 2018. The successful candidates will support students with special educational needs and disabilities including learning difficulties, visually impaired, deaf and hearing impaired and students with autistic spectrum conditions.

HLTA (with responsibility for EAL students)

Scale: SO1

Maternity Leave Cover

(As soon as possible/October 2017 – April 2018 initially)

    

Actual Salary Range: £21,086 – £22,989 per annum

35 hours per week term time only plus 5 days

Required as soon as possible to cover maternity leave a HLTA with responsibility for EAL (English as an Additional Language) to provide specialist support for our EAL students and those new to English. This will involve assisting in planning and delivering English Language teaching programmes and the preparation and management of resources for EAL.

The suitable candidate will have:

  • experience of working with EAL students
  • good communication skills
  • enthusiasm and commitment to make a difference for our EAL students
  • the ability to work on own initiative
