Teacher Assessed Grades (TAGs)
This page provides information to parents and students regarding the centre policy and the assessments which will be used in the awarding of teacher assessed grades in each of the subjects offered at GCSE, A level and Technical qualifications.
The information details the assessments which have been done, when they were conducted, what content was covered in each assessment and when that content was first taught. It also provides information about which evidence will be given more weighting in the final grading, in line with centre policy.
In line with our centre policy, this information is being made available to allow you to review the evidence that will be used for each subject, so that you understand the school’s approach to determining grades before submission. This transparency is to enable students and parents to raise any errors or exceptional mitigating circumstances with the school, if they feel that use of particular pieces of evidence would disadvantage the candidate due to circumstances beyond their control e.g. illness; bereavement; other permitted personal circumstances affecting student performance; or access arrangements not being put in place. If deemed appropriate, this may lead a teacher to disregard a piece of evidence or replace it with another piece of evidence. Circumstances which were within the candidate’s control cannot be considered as mitigating e.g. disengagement during lockdown.
Parents and students must raise any such concerns with the school by 9:00 am on Friday, 11 June, via e-mail to Zoe Senior (Exams Officer): email@example.com. Once this deadline has passed, grades will be finalised and submitted to exam boards and changes will not be possible after this.
